Interact NewsGreat Fund Raser
Wow! These kids are on fire! They held a bake sale at Miles Winery on Sunday and raised $356. The ingredients were donated by the Miles Winery. Their next outing will be a visit to Fox Run Winery to learn how to run a business. CAN HUNGER
Penn Yan Interact Club is constructing a CAN HUNGER structure. They need donations of money in order to purchase particular cans to build their structure. At their last meeting they had a dry run to see how their structure might come together. YOU are invited on March 15th to Lyons National Bank from 7 to 8 p.m. to watch them build their entry for the competition and enjoy the fun. Interact and Rotaract to Ring Bells at Tops
The Rotaract club will be ringing bells at Tops and have elected to "provide Christmas cheer" for a family (mom and three children) as part of the Angel Tree project. The Interact club will ring bells with the Rotary Club this Christmas season and, with Rotaract, provided game leaders for the Community Halloween Party. Last year, they donated to Kid Kare and to an Eagle Scout project in the community. They will run a can drive over the New Year holiday, sell barbequed chicken in the spring, and participate in Can-struction in February. Dyke, Carol, Interact and Rotaract pitched in to assist Milly’s Pantry with the fall distribution of school supplies and back packs for disadvantaged kids. The small surplus of supplies is being stockpiled at the schools and some are being maintained at the Pinwheel Café. If you know of a child in need, refer him or her to George or Carolyn for a Tuesday distribution. |

INTERACTOR are doing a District Interact project and would like the help of Rotarians. They are collecting small size tooth paste, tooth brushes, shampoos, conditioners, soap, washcloths, combs and brushes to make toiletry bags to be given to a women’s shelter or kids in crisis (foster care). These bags will be assembled at the District Assembly on April 11th, 2015. Our goal is 100 bags. If your club could help collect these items and send them to the District Assembly or contact Mary Anne Cooper, District Interact Chair and Dundee Rotarian at [email protected] that would be wonderful. |
